End the summer with a bang with these party-planning tips
August is here, and that means there are only a few weeks left of summer. What better excuse do you need to throw a party? Celebrate the last of the warm days, with these party planning tips:
Embrace tapas: Who doesn’t love choices? You might want to offer a selection of finger foods. Or opt for a build-your-own-burger station with bite-sized meat cuts and/or vegetables with choices of buns and toppings. The best part about bite sized portions is they allow guests to socialize more. Nothing’s worse than getting caught with a mouth full!
Keep it fresh and local: Check out local farmers’ markets for fresh vegetables and fruit. You might even reserve a local food truck to supply the grub. What a great way to please guests, while giving back to the community!
Get active: Encourage guests to have one last hurrah outside by breaking a sweat. Think Twister, lawn croquet, bags, or lawn bowling! Don’t forget to take photos!
Remember party planning can be stressful, but keep the end in mind: FUN! Your party might be such a success you might want to make it an annual deal.
