Dash-In has been a Fort Wayne favorite in Downtown Fort Wayne for years. The twenty-one and over setting allows for a great mix of customers from local millennials to the older business crowd. The one thing they have in common is the undeniable taste that Dash-In provides in each bite of their appetizers, soups, entrees, desserts, and specialty drinks.

Located at 814 S. Calhoun Street, they are open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Their layout is open with large windows that reach to the ceiling. Their staff is incredibly down to earth and friendly, and the environment is always welcoming. Today was no exception.

With the return of fall comes the return of comfort food. Dash-In’s grilled cheese sandwiches and Tomato Bisque are in a league all their own and I often find myself placing an order after a particularly demanding day. Today, I stopped by for the full meal deal.

I ordered their Chicken Salad Sandwich with a Spinach Salad served with Herb Vinaigrette dressing on the side. This is one of their killer combos that always hits the spot. I opted for a side of fresh guacamole to bring everything together. A side of Tomato Bisque warmed me up and the soup and sandwich was divine.

In addition to the Vietnamese Coffee, I decided to try their Chocolate Chip Banana Pudding. Oh. My. Puddings. This dish is seasonal and I’m telling you that you simply have to try it.
