Lucky Turtle Grill, located at 622 E Dupont Road, is a special treat for patrons. I stopped by after a long absence and was reminded of their unique food and atmosphere. The restaurant reminds of a mix of Mad Anthony’s Brewing Co. and J.K. O'Donnell’s with its eclectic menu and dimly lit restaurant. It’s a great place for a date, a night away from the kids, or a quick lunch break.

I tried some of their staple entrees including the Reuben with fries, Creamy Cajun Chicken Flatbread, and Boneless Wings. The Reuben succeeded at bringing together that famous combination of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, grilled rye, and Thousand Island dressing. The flatbread was not overcooked and melted in my mouth, and the sauce that covered the boneless wings was not too zesty nor boring. It all came together beautifully.

The service was quick, the booths were sectioned off to make for easy conversation with my friends, and when all was said and done, it turned out to be an affordable lunch. If a restaurant can seat me quickly, make delicious food, treat me kindly, and get me out the door when I’m ready to go, they have more than succeeded. Lucky Turtle Grill went above and beyond with their unique flavors and diligent staff.
