Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

April 17th, 2015

Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery, located on the northwest side of Jefferson Pointe, is open seven days a week. Fort Wayne’s only Celtic themed sports bar has a large dining area for all ages. Whether you want to watch the game while having an ice cold drink or dine with your group of friends, they are accommodating. With a full service bar, a full dining area, and several nooks, there are plenty of opportunities to create your own atmosphere. Also, where else can you see men and women in full Celtic outfits?

In the last decade, Tilted Kilt has grown from one restaurant in Las Vegas to over 100 locations across the country. If I’ve learned anything about the success of restaurants in the last year it is that one thing is a constant for success: the food has to be incredible. I stopped by to see just how incredible it was.

Instead of ordering the usual salad, entree, and dessert, I dove right into their appetizer menu. I ordered the pint o’fries, their BBQ slidertown sandwiches, buffalo chicken dip, and the whiskey beef skewers. The best part is that it was all… for me.

The fries were some of the best I’ve had and reminded my of the thinly sliced ones I enjoy at Steak and Shake but with more seasoning. The sliders were delicious and I only wished I had ordered more. The buffalo chicken dip was thick and creamy; it went well with the chips for dipping. My favorite was the whiskey beef skewers. The glaze was still dripping off them when they arrived and it melted in my mouth.

Overall it was a great experience. This may not be high class dining but that’s not a bad thing; the food and service were great. I know it’s the kind of food I would order when having friends over for a small event or movie. These appetizers came together to create the perfect meal, and I didn’t even mention their expansive menu with rows of food items with a Celtic twist.
