Cortez Crook, 26, has been working at Waiter on the Way since 2015 and is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Every time I see him he has this big smile on his face. It's hard not to smile back. He moved to Fort Wayne from his original upbringing in Birmingham, Alabama. He might be a long way from home but he tells me that the Waiter on the Way crew has really become his family. They look out for each other.

"I love being a cook. This is my life. Somebody gave me a shot. I learned everything I need to know and I've been cooking ever since." It's true. He really does make good food. I've had some of it and I always come back for seconds. His favorite meal is WOW's very own Mac N' Cheese. Rightfully so. He shows up every morning at 6:30 a.m. and stays well into the afternoon until the job is done.

"My favorite thing about Waiter on the Way and WOW Factor Catering is the teamwork. Everyone works together. It really has become my family." I ask him if he has any other aspirations at this time but he tells me that "being a chef is where I'm at and nothing else. I'm cool with cooking. It's where I need to be." He's confident about that and his delicious food creations only prove it.
