Biaggi’s at Jefferson Pointe is known for their delicious pasta, scrumptious bread, and wide range of first class appetizers. However, one of my favorite meals not just at Biaggi’s but in all of Fort Wayne is their Roasted Beet & Arugula Salad. It is one of those lunch and dinner features that I find myself craving even on an idle Tuesday.

It was the end of a long work week and snow was on its way to Fort Wayne again. My fiancee and I needed something to take the edge off. We called in a full order from Biaggi’s via Waiter on the Way and created what felt like a four course meal all while hanging out in bed. That’s the magic of Waiter on the Way: one of a kind food without having to leave the house.

We started off with bread dipped in olive oil (which they supplied with the meal without having to ask for it) and then followed it with their Calamari Fritti (served with fresh tomato sauce and Italian salsa). Up next was the house salad and their Roasted Beet & Arugula Salad which is made up of fresh beets roasted with a honey balsamic marinade and served with arugula and field greens, avocado, sun dried cranberries, toasted pistachios and whipped garlic herb Montchevre goat cheese. We ended by splitting the Capellini Di Mare made up of Angel hair pasta with large shrimp, scallops, and calamari that are sauteed in a spicy tomato vegetable sauce and topped with fresh mussels and Little Neck clams.

It definitely took the edge off of a very demanding day. Biaggi’s isn’t inexpensive but it’s not going to break the bank either. When it comes to Biaggi’s you really are paying for high class food and a unique dining experience, even when it’s delivered.
